Code-Breakers Wanted!
Think about how many famous books begin with a young character being whisked away from normal life and swept into some strange and secret school. It happens all the time in fiction. Why? I think it's because it's cool, and most of us wish we could do it!
Well, something like this really happened during World War II, and it was one of the main inspirations for The Bletchley Riddle. The two main characters, Jakob and Lizzie, both wind up working for The Government Code & Cypher School, a secret code-breaking factory in a quirky mansion called Bletchley Park, about an hour north of London.
